I'm just curious how many people were towed at the Hillary Clinton rally.  My wife and 3 children attended and asked a local police officer where they were allowed to park.  He responded "I don't know, we only had 12 hours notice this was happening", however they seemed to have plenty of time to monitor the NorthState communications parking lot telling everyone not on business to move.  I don't fault them, or the parasite wrecker service that preys on the very people that bring revenue to the downtown area each time there is an event, but it seems this was very poorly planned and I'd like to know just how many people were affected.

I run a towing service. First thing is that northstate communications has there own gaurd that watches there parking lot and is not controlled by the police dept. second is that the police dept can not have cars towed from private property. And if you would park where you are suppose to park at you wouldn't have to worry about being towed away. As for the market visitors they think they can come here and do what ever they want to. I love it when I get one of thier cars in impound and prove to them that they just can't park anywhere they want. And yes i mark the price up to cover the service of securing thier vehicle.

Anyone that went to the clinton rally should be towed......parking in the wrong place is a given if you support H C, and the man operating the wrecker service is only doing what the owner of the property (or one of his representatives) has told him to do and is trying to make a living providing a service. They actually look after his interests unlike our elected representatives do. Send your tow bill to H C, maybe she will pay it........ :-)

Winfam,
I attended the event and drove around the block a couple of times before parking on main street. I knew from other events I've attended that the police wouldn't be very useful in helping attendees find parking.
