Ok. I try hard to not talk about Politics and religion but the older I get, the more I understand everyone has an opinion and can respect that without getting mad. So, I would like to say something about the Obama family interview. Personally, I thought it was a good interview which says something since I am a republican. That does not mean I only vote my party. I try to weigh all sides before I make a decision. Anyway, the interview I thought was good. I problem came when Mr. Obama was asked if he would do it again. He said no. That is where I have a concern. He says that they were caught up in the moment and now he is upset with how the networks all jumped at the interview. So, being in such a computer world, what else did he think would happen? If you get caught up in a moment with something like that and second guess yourself, you can never do that as President. It shows weakness and other countries will feed on it. This is a huge concern and makes me doubt him as a man that can run our country. What will happen when he has to make a serious decision and has pressure coming from everywhere? Am I the only one seeing this? I think he should have said that he is proud of his family and has nothing to hide. That he is flattered at how so many of the networks want to show off his "all american" family and maybe wished instead of trying to put them all over the place he would do something later for everyone after the elections. That they wanted to spend what quiet time they had with each other now so they could concentrate on the elections and not be distracted.   Oh, and I don't really think that he would get a dog except it does not look good that he is a father with 2 children who want a dog and they don't have any pets. More votes is how I look at that. Will he still get the dog if he is not voted. I am interested in that.

This was my thinking exactly. If he can get caught up in the moment in an interview, what kind of moments is he going to get caught up in while making an important decision for our country? I hope no one asks him to change toe color of the American flag to pink, while he is caught up in a moment or even worse!

They should have known better than to expose children to any Reporter's "Fishing Expedition", knowing full well how it would go, but what choice did they have?

Damned if they do, damned if they don't....I feel for both of them -

Tell me again why any sane individual would ever even WANT to run for Public Office?....It certainly BECOMES "public" quickly....

well, if he gets into office he won't ever have to face the decision making stresses. he will hire people to be on his staff that do all of that for him. just as the campaign staffs take these candidates and mold them into whatever it is that the latest polls say people will vote for. that is why they appear to flip flop on everything... because they are all afraid of standing up for what THEY, the candidate... stands for. that is why they can't say exactly what they do stand for, because they are all afraid of losing a vote if they do specify what they stand for specificially. i work in marketing and advertising and it just keep becoming more apparent the more i pay attention to politics, the more it is really just like marketing a product. these products are each party's choice that they mold and reflect their own agenda off of. the candidates are like puppets... heck, they even pay people to write their own speeches. sooner or later, as the computer age progresses... there will be no more human candidates. they will be replaced by a robot figure that does exactly what the campain tells it too. similar to what the obama campaign is doing to barack.

i voted for george bush both terms, i would vote for him for a third if i could. and the main reason for that is the fact that he never followed the opinion polls. he made decisions based on what he felt was the right thing to do for this country, not what someone else told him to do. i respect that, even if i didn't agree with every thing he did do. it sickens me to see the new candidates as empty suit puppets. i hear them

Trying to teach my kids that you work for things and you appreciate them better. Take care of your elders and veterans. What we have now is because of their dedication to make America a better place to live. Be proud to be an American. We love racing! That's what we are about.
