Seems funny that no one is talking about how miserable the Democratically controlled congress is doing since it is just as bad as the President's numbers  Though Ms Pelosi was going to ride into town and save us all At least that is what she promised..

WASHINGTON - People think the Democratic-led Congress is doing just as dreary a job as President Bush, following four months of bitter political standoffs that have seen little progress on Iraq and a host of domestic issues.

An AP-Ipsos poll also found that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a more popular figure than the president and her colleagues on Capitol Hill, though she faces a gender gap in which significantly more women than men support her.

The survey found only 35 percent approve of how Congress is handling its job, down 5 percentage points in a month. That gives lawmakers the same bleak approval rating as Bush, who has been mired at about that level since last fall, including his dip to a record low for the AP-Ipsos poll of 32 percent last January.

Everyone should check out the business section of the HP Enterprise today.  There is a story about Lowe's home Improvement stores that caught my attention.

It seem in their effort to not offend the "Non Christians" customer Lowe's decided to call their Christmas trees "Family Trees" in their stores and circulars.  After backlash from some Christians Organizations Lowe's has now recanted and indicated it was "mistake".    My questions is this:  How come everyone caves in to non Christian groups barking about Christian holidays and symbols?  It seems quite odd that we are catering to folks who should not care since they do not recognize these holidays anyway?

FOX8 might to consider talking with someone at Lowe's  about this since you depend heavily on them for your FOX8 Gifts for kids campaign for the Salvation Army which is a Christian based organization.

A non Christian was offended while attending a Christian Funeral service  and so now   The U.S. Military Honor Guard cannot recite the folds of the American flag at a  funeral service held at a Federal cemetery...and in fact the family has to make a request  to have it recited...As an American, A Veteran, a Christian, and as a Taxpayer I find it ridiculous..

 .Please  let me know when a funeral service with a minister became a non Christian event...If it offends youto here about God and Jesus at a funeral then pay your respects at the funeral home or at some other time and stay away............I  really am mystified at how a single person could have done this..I thought we did things by the majority in this country..

It amazes me that we cannot get  abortion stopped with a majority  of Americans against it but we can get this stopped by a single person....If you wonder where America is going   this is it folks...What if the military folks just all quit and walked off ( not that they would because we have something called Honor, Morals and a Love of Country)  we would be in a world of hurt..I served in the military  and defended the rights of this one person to speak out but I did not serve to allow  them to single handedly destroy  the rights of  every veteran and  to disrespect them by having this right taken away.  I urge all of you to contact our Senators, Reps and all Government officials including the President and Vice-President and let them know this is wrong and we need an immediate reversal of this decision..Please take a stand for every Veteran who gave their life and
service for your country, your freedoms and  your rights..  Yes we Christians have rights also....

i HAVE TO SAY THAT ALL OF THE MAJOR NEWS ORGANIZATIONS IN THE TRIAD MISSED A CHANCE TO COVER SOMETHING REALLY GREAT LAST WEEK.    THERE WAS A CONVENTION  CALLED...UNITED METHODIST YOUTH 2007 .. SPLAT.. ( SEEK, PRAY LEARN, ACT, TEACH) IN GREENSORO ( AT BOTH THE KOURY CONVENTION CENTER AND THE COLISEUM) PLUS THE YOUTH DID MISSON WORKS OUT IN THE CITY AT VARIOUS TIMES AND DATES.. THERE WERE OVER   6,000 METHODIST YOUTH   FROM ALL OVER  THE WORLD (OH YEA AND MAYOR KEITH HOLIDAY OF GREENSBORO  THOUGHT IT WAS IMPORTANT ENOUGH FOR HIM TO COME)..BUT YET NO ONE SEEMED TO THINK IT WAS IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO COVER.........IS THE MEDIA SO AFRAID OF THE ACLU  THAT THEY FEEL IF THEY COVER A CHRISTIAN EVENT THEY WILL BE PUBLICLY RIDICULED...SEVERAL YOUTH AND ADULTS FROM OUR CHURCH ATTENDED DAILY FROM WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY WITH THE DAY STARTING AT APPROX 9:00AM AND ENDING AT 11:30PM.  I WANT TO THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE VISITORS THAT CAME TO OUR AREA  AND WHILE THE REST OF OUR CITY MAY NOT HAVE CARED THAT YOU WERE HERE I WAS...WE HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT TIME IN YOUR SEEKING OF A CLOSER RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST IN THE PIEDMONT TRIAD OF NC.
