What is wrong with this picture

Earlier today, I was grocery shopping for my mom. I was at the Food Lion on Winston Road in Lexington. As I was in line at the register, there were 2 Mexican women with 3 kids in line in front of me. 2 of the kids were well behaved, the other one was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Neither one of the women were trying to correct him. Finally one of the other kids got him and calmed him down.

As the cashier told this woman the cost of her items, she scanned her food stamp card and punched in her pin number. The cashier told her that her food stamp card only had forty one cents on it. He then asked her if she had cash to pay for her groceries since it was WAY more than forty one cents. She then went into her pocket and pulled out a wad of bills. She handed him a hundred dollar bill. After I paid for my mom's groceries, I was walking to my 1996 Pontiac Grand Am GT. I looked at a beautiful NEW Ford F150 that was parked a few spaces up from my car, and what did I see...the Mexicans that tried paying for their groceries with food stamps, loading their groceries in the bed of this beautiful new truck!!! Now, I ask, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?!?!

It made me proud to know that my tax dollars are going to help this Mexican family have food stamps and yet drive around in a brand new pickup truck. NOT!!!!!!!!!

Everytime I see something like that, it just makes me feel all warm inside.....to be able to help these poor struggling REFUGEES.....

I thought that I was the only one that felt all warm inside everytime I saw my tax dollars help people out so that they could have food stamps and drive brand new trucks. GLAD I AIN'T ALONE ON THAT ONE!!!

What to do? Confiscate the truck and DEPORT THEM!!!!! I don't mind my tax dollars go to help someone with food stamps THAT NEED THEM, but to go to someone that can make payments on a brand new F150 pickup truck, THAT TOTALLY PI$$ES ME OFF!!! DEPORT THEM ALONG WITH THE ILLEGAL LIBRARIAN!!!!!!!

Gonna be a lot of sad stories and strong words over this one....Lots of damned good people who are doing the best they can, better than a lot of legal citizens are....

BUT.................Is it the LAW, or is it NOT?

We can't give some the cane, and others the carrot....we sure as Hell don't have the resources to mediate each and every separate case....worthy or not -

We can't give 4 million people ASVAB Tests to decide who is "worthy" or not of Amnesty - Half wouldn't show up, because they would think it was a "sting", and we found out last go 'round Amnesty changed not a thing in the World, anyway....

I read in the NY Times where 40% of some College in CA's graduating class was ILLEGAL....WTH?....How did THAT happen? - I've got to give a random fingerprint when I put CASH in a Bank I've been doing business at for 3 decades!

Decisions like this are (thankfully) made way above my pay grade, but something's gonna have to give soon.....We can't afford our OWN problems right now!

Notice, NDD, I have not commented whatsoever on that Post....That's gonna be a real sticky one!

Is it fair to everybody?...Hell, no...

Can we AFFORD all?....Hell, no!?

Born here, Illegal Parents, I'm sorry, you're Illegal, too....

Have you ever heard of the fabled "Feet Dry" Law, put to the test back when all the Haitians and Cubans decided to "Come to America"?

I'm sorry to tell you, friend, at the time (and probably now), it is a National (Read: FEDERAL) LAW....I was there, and I saw it with mine own eyes...

I see this quite often as well. I work at a daycare and I know some of the kids that get free daycare, but their families have money to do things that I don't have the money to do. It is not just Mexicans though. I see good old legal Americans doing the same thing. Something definitely needs to be done about this. Same as people who are receiving disability, but that same disability doesn't stop them from doing all the other stuff they have to do like yard work etc.

It's tight now, and getting worse, no end in sight....What's these young guys gonna do watching their Parents, and trying to start a Family on $9.00 bucks an hour?....

The Economic Crime Wave hasn't really hit out here in the sticks yet.....I guess we'll have to pay those Fools who run the County/ Fed Courts OVERTIME, too....

Hey yall
I do not give a damn if they were hispanic or whatever, it was wrong . It does piss me off (that is the warm feeling) - I think that feeling comes when I feel someone peeing down the back of my neck - I attempting to use nice words. To think and here ya go -using food stamps, living the good life, pocketful of cash , new vehicle and possibly illegal.

I believe this has gone on in America long before the Hispanics/Mexicans started doing, the only difference is they are not here illegaly.

In the past I have seen African American women with their hair and nails done to a tee and dress to the max pay for groceries with food stamps and then walk out to the parking lot and get in a brand new Cadillac. I've seen Caucasion women with needle marks up their arms and powder still stuck on their faces pay for groceries and return to their brand new Lincoln town car.

So it's not new in this country now we have just taught illegals how to do it.

Yeh, someone once told me that learning and working hard everyday were the only ways to make a life for yourself.......boy did they/we get our signals crossed.

I am married with two daughters. My oldest one is in the color guard at North Davidson Senior High School. My youngest will be attending East Davidson Senior High School in a few years. I am a 1990 graduate of Lexington Senior High School. I like college football and basketball, nfl, baseball, racing, and wrestling.
