Earlier today, I was grocery shopping for my mom. I was at the Food Lion on Winston Road in Lexington. As I was in line at the register, there were 2 Mexican women with 3 kids in line in front of me. 2 of the kids were well behaved, the other one was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Neither one of the women were trying to correct him. Finally one of the other kids got him and calmed him down.

As the cashier told this woman the cost of her items, she scanned her food stamp card and punched in her pin number. The cashier told her that her food stamp card only had forty one cents on it. He then asked her if she had cash to pay for her groceries since it was WAY more than forty one cents. She then went into her pocket and pulled out a wad of bills. She handed him a hundred dollar bill. After I paid for my mom's groceries, I was walking to my 1996 Pontiac Grand Am GT. I looked at a beautiful NEW Ford F150 that was parked a few spaces up from my car, and what did I see...the Mexicans that tried paying for their groceries with food stamps, loading their groceries in the bed of this beautiful new truck!!! Now, I ask, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?!?!

It made me proud to know that my tax dollars are going to help this Mexican family have food stamps and yet drive around in a brand new pickup truck. NOT!!!!!!!!!

I was just browsing through the blogs trying to catch up on what I have been missing on here, and I ran across one certain blog that caught my attention. I clicked on it, and started reading the writer's profile. The profile told about her sisters, (1 a rising senior at Thomasville, and the other 1, a rising sophomore at North Davidson.) As I was reading this, I am thinking that my youngest daughter loves soccer, will be going to East Davidson in a few years, etc. (just like her profile said).Well, she was sitting in the chair watching tv, and I started reading the profile out loud. She jumped up and ran over to the computer and tried to stop me from reading the rest of it. Sure enough, my youngest daughter is now a blogger on here, just like her dad!!

She is a big Duke fan, and I am a big CAROLINA fan. Can't wait until college basketball starts back. We will see if she can take the heat on here then!!

This morning during our daily company meeting at work, they had a drawing for 5 sets of tickets to this Saturday night's All Star Race at Lowes Motor Speedway. Once again, I won 2 tickets. With these tickets, we get to go to the Lowes tent outside of turn 1 for a buffet dinner and drivers will make random appearances.

I just hope that Dale Jr. does the same thing that he did in Richmond about 2 weeks ago, (hit the wall!!!)

We have had a sign up sheet in the break room at work for about one and a half weeks to win tickets to Saturday nights Sprint Cup Race at Richmond. My sister-in-law's husband put his name on the sheet. Not being outdone, I put my name on the sheet. Well, this morning we had the drawing. Lowes Distribution Center, (the company I work for), was giving away 5 sets of tickets. The five names that were drawn got two tickets. The first name pulled wasn't either one of us, neither was the second or third names. On the fourth draw, my name was pulled. I looked over at my sister-in-law's husband and smiled. The fifth name was pulled and it wasn't his. I looked at him and just shook my head...don't worry though, I gave him my extra ticket. So, Saturday morning, we are heading to Richmond for the race.

A redneck family from the hills were visiting the city and were in a mall for the first time in their lives. The father and son were strolling around while the mother shopped. The father and son came across two shiny walls that could move apart and slide back together again. The boy asked; "Paw, what's that?" The father, (never having seen an elevator), responded; "Son, I dunno. I ain't never seen nuttin' like that in my life. I ain't got no idea'r what it is."

While the boy and his dad were watching with amazement, a fat old lady in a wheelchair rolled up  to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the old lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small circular number above the wall light up. They continued to watch it until it reached the last number. Then the numbers began to light up in reverse order. Then the walls opened up again and a gorgeous 24 year old blonde woman stepped out.

The father, never taking his eyes off the woman, tells his son; "BOY...GO GIT CHA MOMMA!!!"

"Hello, is this the Sheriff's Office?"

"Yes it is. How may I help you?"

"My neighbor, Virgil Smith.... he got marijuana inside his firewood. Don't know how he gets the marijuana inside dem logs, but he shore do hide it in dem logs."

"Thank you very much for the call. We will look into it"

The next day, several deputies pull up at Virgil's mobile home. They search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes, they bust every single piece of firewood, but find no marijuana. They sneer at Virgil and then leave. Shortly the phone rings at Virgil's house.

"Hey Virgil.... this is Bubba... Did the Sheriff come?"

"Shore did!"

"Did they chop yer firewood?"

"Yep... Shore did."

"Merry Christmas, buddy!!!"

         THAT IS HOW REDNECKS GIT-R-DONE!!

I had the tv on ESPN and they told about a guy that was doing work at the new Yankee Stadium took a Boston Red Sox baseball jersey and buried it in some concrete that had been poured. Word leaked out about it and today some guys drilled through the concrete and pulled out the Red Sox jersey.  Hank Steinbrenner, George's son, was furious. He made the comment about potentially filing a lawsuit against the guy that placed the jersey there.

Now here's the catch: the guy that placed the jersey in the concrete was born and raised in the Bronx, (home of the Yankees), but is a HUGE BOSTON RED SOX FAN!!!!

How can he be born and raised in the Bronx, and be a Red Sox fan? To me, it sounds like the guy is a really smart man, (not to pull for the Yankees!!!!) LOL!!!

Do you think that Steinbrenner should file a lawsuit on this guy or should it be just for fun? Let me know what ya think!!!

GOOD OL' ROCKY TOP!!!!!!!!!!

The Lady Vol's of Tennessee just won the ladies NCAA National Championship for the second year in a row!!!! This makes the 8th National Championship for Pat Summitt, the greatest basketball coach in history.

As ya'll know, I am a BIG Tennessee fan. I bleed Carolina Blue and Tennessee Orange!!! I was disappointed when the men of Tennessee and Carolina got knocked out of the big dance, but this National Championship makes up for that!!!

GOOD OL' ROCKY TOP, ROCKY TOP TENNESSEE!!!

Last night, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) had their 2008 Hall of Fame Inductions.  The inductees were: The Briscoe Brothers, Mae Young, Rocky Johnson, the late "High Chief" Peter Miavia, the late Eddie Graham, the late Gordon Solie, and my all time favorite wrestler, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

The final hour of the ceremonies were shown on the USA Network, so I got to see "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson induct his father (Rocky Johnson) and his grandfather (Peter Miavia) into the HOF. To me, the highlight came at the last induction, when another one of my favorites, Triple H inducted "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. As I was watching Ric give his acceptance speech, I couldn't help but to think about all the times I saw him at the Greensboro Coliseum when wrestling was divided up in regional territories. They would wrestle in Greensboro about every 2-3 weeks. Ahh, those were the good ol' days of wrestling.

As I finish up this blog, I have only one thing left to say:

                                      WOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Since the race was at my favorite track, (Bristol), I decided to tape the race and watch it later. Well, I just finished watching it, and I must admit that I LOVED the finish. Jeff Burton 1st, Kevin Harvick 2nd, and Clint Bowyer 3rd.

Anyone that has read my bio will see that my favorite race teams are any RCR teams, so this finish today was extra sweet for me. The reasons RCR teams are my favorite is simple: my dad used to work for Richard from 1991 until around 2003 when my dad came down with diabetes and retired. Dad used to do the yard work at the raceshop and out at Richard's house and farm. The other reason RCR is my favorite is because of the late, great Dale Earnhardt.

I know in todays race, Harvick tapped Tony Stewart and put him in the wall. Before the Tony fans start, let me say this: Other than the RCR drivers, Tony is another one of my favorites. But hey, this is Bristol, the most EXCITING track on the NASCAR circuit.

Congrats to the entire RCR organization.

This is one tape that will be labeled to keep from getting erased, and going into my NASCAR archives.

Earlier today, I went to Yahoo.com to check my e-mails. Just for the fun of it, I typed my name in the search bar on Yahoo's home page and hit the search button. After a second or two,  a whole list came up with people throughout the United States that have my name. What came next was really disturbing. As I scanned the list, I saw Thomasville, NC (which is the area where I live!) To make matters worse, at the end of the line, it stated my parents name and their ages. The only mistake that was on the whole line was my age. It said that I was 40 years old. Still got a few more years before I turn 40!!!!

When I saw all of this, I clicked on my name and it took me to the next page. When that one came up, it stated that it had 4 addresses for Lexington and 2 addresses for Thomasville. Yes, I lived in Lexington before moving to Thomasville. The page said for $39.95, I could get court records like copies of both of my marriage licenses, copies of my divorce, and basically anything else pertaining to me!!!

So for $39.95, you can basically steal anyone's identity!!! This is just another way for identity theft to happen!!! What do ya'll think???

Without a doubt, the driver that is on fire right now in NASCAR is Kyle Busch. He is the current points leader, and today, he gave Toyota their first victory in Sprint Cup. As we all know, Rick Hendrick released him last year so that Dale Jr. could come on board.

So far this season, Hendrick Motorsports has been shut out in the wins column. Personally, I hope it happens for 32 more races.

One quick question: Do ya'll think Hendrick is having 2nd thoughts for releasing "Rowdy" Busch?

A husband and wife had been fussing and fighting all day long. Finally, after supper, the husband walked into the living room and took the marriage license down off the wall. He went back into the kitchen and sat down at the table. After his wife finished loading the dishwasher, she came and sat down at the table. They started fussing once again. Finally, the wife noticed that the husband was looking at their marriage license. She asked, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW?" He didn't answer. Once again, she asked: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW?" He looked over at her and responded: "I SEE THE ISSUE DATE ON THIS MARRIAGE LICENSE, BUT I CAN'T FIND THE EXPIRATION DATE!!!"

This is a response for ladcrm, since he changed his settings to where we can't respond to his blogs. By changing the settings it shows me and probably everyone on this site one thing. He can dish it out, but he can't take it!!!

He is mad and whining because Emily Byrd responded to his post on if he was younger, he would shoot Obama. Emily responded just like several others did.  Back off of Emily, because she told ya the same thing I would have told ya!

By the way, you said that you would not do anymore post. That was 2 or 3 post ago!!!

As I came on to this website this morning, the first news headline that I saw said something about a 16 year old threatend to shoot some classmates at NORTH DAVIDSON high school and NORTH DAVIDSON middle school.

As ya'll know, my oldest daughter is a student at North Davidson Senior High, hence my screenname. It seems like here lately, everytime you turn on the news, there are reports of school shootings or threats of school shootings. I am glad that the assistant principal received the information apparently from some students to where he could pass it on to the SRO (school resource officer) before this thug could go through with it.

It is a shame that our kids can't go to school and not have to worry if it will happen at their schools, because yes, IT CAN HAPPEN AT ANY SCHOOL. It has happened at Columbine, Virginia Tech, and about a week and a half ago in Illinios just to name a few.

In the school shootings the thugs go in and shoot innocent people before turning the gun on themselves. Why waste bullets on innocent people before killing themselves? A lot of times, it is blamed on video games that have shootings in them. I guess these thugs play these video games and think it is ok to shoot the characters on the games, so it will be ok to go to school and shoot innocent classmates.

These are my questions: 1) When will it stop, and 2) What is it going to take to stop this?  ANY SUGGESTIONS? ALL RESPONSES WELCOME!!!!

PS... WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF THIS HAPPENED AT YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL?
