I want to know if this was some kind of omen or was Billy Yow channeling?

When I drove by Skip Altons house the other day, which looks like a mansion, there was a huge red-tailed hawk sitting on the chimney screaming. She was evidently not very happy with something. I wanted to get a picture, but it was in the middle of Vandalia road and a lot of traffic.

I was wondering what this could have meant. If Billy couldn't get through to Skip at meetings, maybe the hawk was sent to try it. Or maybe the hawk is Mr. Altons burglar alarm.

I live in the neighborhood Mr. Alston built his "mansion" in, it's a big brick three story housw with 2 normal size houses in the back yard for his children's "play houses", sitting among a neighborhood of single story stick built houses form the 30's.

When he was building it, he had city workers clearing the land and then landscaping the land after it was built. I called the city manager office and asked if he had paid for this service or if he was allowed to use our city's work force for his own gain for free and was hung up on. I guess I got my answer.

Now another Mr. Alson story, have you seen his rental properties? New meaning of "Slum Lord" is needed after visiting those.

I've been a Fox 8 watcher, since it was channel 8 and came on the air. My husband and I have 4 grands, 3 boys and a girl We also have 2 rotten dogs and 2 spoiled cats. We love civil war reenacting all over the East Coast and teaching living histories to school children about life in the 1860's. Often seen in Jamestown Christmas parade
