Some of you have read my previous vent sessions/ posts on my situation with my ex- wife. Well now she has decided to move back to her homestate of minnesota, which is the greatest news i've had in a while. BUT the thing is she wants to take my daughter! Now there's no way in hell i'm gonna just let her do this without a fight, but i'm so scared a judge will let her go. She has already accepted a job and actually moved but i have hannah with me right now because i wouldn't give her back so she could go with her. Hanna does NOT want to move away from me and her family and has told her mother this every chance she gets but her mother will not listen. Hannah is a VERY smart little girl for 6 yrs. old and she understands the consequences of being that far away. I finally came up with enuff money for a lawyer so i'm gonna do my best to stop it. I enrolled her in school and she met her teacher yesterday and she is so excited about schhol but last night she cried and cried because she is afraid she will have to move. And all her mom can do when she talks to her is talk to her like a dog! I just don't understand how a mother can take a child away from someone who loves that child as much as i do. I have done nothing to deserve this and neither has hannah. Anyway.... just wanted to get it off my chest and ask you guys to please pray for us during this struggle. I just don't know if i can survive without my baby. thanks guys you all are the greatest!

Texas Chili Cookoff
Recently while visiting Texas, I was honored to be selected as an Outstanding Famous Celebrity to judge a chili cook-off because no one else wanted to do it. Also, the original person called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking directions to the beer wagon when the call came. I was assured by the other two judges that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy, and besides they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted this as being one of those burdens you endure when you're an internet writer and therefore known and adored by all. Here are the scorecards from the event:

Chili # 1:    Mike's Maniac Mobster Monster Chili
JUDGE ONE:    A little too heavy on tomato. Amusing kick.
JUDGE TWO:    Nice, smooth tomato flavor Very mild.

ME:    Holy BLEEP, what is this stuff? You could remove oil stains from your driveway with it. Took two beers to put the flames out. Hope that's the worst one. These people are nuts.

----------------------------------------------

Chili # 2:    Arthur's Afterburner Chili
JUDGE ONE:    Smoky (barbecue?) with a hint of pork. Slight Jalapeno tang.
JUDGE TWO:     Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously.

ME:    Keep this out of reach of children! I'm not sure what I am supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. Shoved my way to the front of the beer line. The barmaid looks like a professional wrestler after a bad night. She was so irritated over my gagging sounds that the snake tattoo under her eye started to twitch. She has arms like Popeye and a face like Winston Churchill. I will NOT pick a fight with her.
---------------------------------------------

Chili # 3:    Fred's Famous Burn Down the Barn Chili
JUDGE ONE:    Excellent firehouse chili! Great kick. Needs more beans.
JUDGE TWO:    A beanless chili, a bit salty, good use of red peppers.

ME:    This has got to be a joke. Call the EPA, I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now and got out of my way so I could make it to the beer wagon. Barmaid pounded me on the back; now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. She said her friends call her "Sally." Probably behind her back they call her "Forklift."
--------------------------------------------

Chili # 4:     Bubba's Black Magic
JUDGE ONE:     Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
JUDGE TWO:     A hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili.

ME:    I felt something scraping across my tongue but was unable to taste it. Sally was standing behind me with fresh refills so I wouldn't have to dash over to see her. When she winked at me her snake sort of coiled and uncoiled-it's kinda cute.

--------------------------------------------

Chili # 5:    Linda's Legal Lip Remover
JUDGE ONE:    Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground adding considerable kick. Very impressive.
JUDGE TWO:    Chili using shredded beef; could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.

ME:    My ears are ringing and I can no longer focus my eyes. I belched and four people in front of me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed hurt when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue by pouring beer directly on it from a pitcher. Sort of irritates me that one of the other judges asked me to stop screaming.
--------------------------------------------

Chili # 6:    Vera's Very Vegetarian Variety
JUDGE ONE:     Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spice and peppers.
JUDGE TWO:    The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic. Superb.

ME:    My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous flames. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except Sally. I asked if she wants to go dancing later.
--------------------------------------------

Chili # 7:     Susan's Screaming Sensation Chili
JUDGE ONE:     A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned Peppers.
JUDGE TWO:     Ho Hum, tastes as if the chef threw in canned chili peppers at the last moment. I should note that I am worried about Judge Number 3, he appears to be in a bit of distress.

ME:     You could put a hand grenade in my mouth and pull the pin and I wouldn't feel it. I've lost the sight in one eye and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My clothes are covered with chili which slid unnoticed out of my mouth at some point. Good, at autopsy they'll know what killed me. Go Sally, save yourself before it's too late. Tell our children I'm sorry I was not there to conceive them. I've decided to stop breathing, it's too painful and I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air I'll just let it in through the hole in my stomach. Call the X-Files people & tell them I've found a super nova on my tongue.
--------------------------------------------

Chili # 8:    Helen's Mount Saint Chili
JUDGE ONE:    This final entry is a good, balanced chili, neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge Number 3 fell and pulled the chili pot on top of himself.
JUDGE TWO:    A perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili, safe for all, not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence.

ME:    Mommy?

Tom and his younger sister were fighting. Their mother was tired of the fighting, and decided to punish them by making them stand on the same piece of newspaper in such a way that they couldn't touch each other. How did she accomplish this? Flatch is in charge of divvying out viking points...lol

i'm sure you all are as aware as i am of how the violent crimes are rising drastically. for anyone who is wondering whats goin on i got one word for ya. GANGS! remember not too many years ago when we all heard on the news how law enforcement thought n.c. was starting to get gang activity...... well folks they are HERE and they are just gettin started. just think... if these little punks would kill u for shoes ten yrs. ago just imagine what they'll do to get what they want now. with gas prices steadily increasing along with everything else these days these people will do whatever they have to do to get money for what they want. everyone keeps sayin " how could they just shoot eve carson like that and leave her on the side of the road?" well its because they only have one "honor code" they go by and thats to their gang. they don't care that u have children at home or a loving spouse or family that loves you, they see you as keeping them from what they think they deserve, so in their minds it's suvival of the meanest. it's a whole lot easier for them to walk out to the street and carjack you or me than it is to get a job and work for what they want. for the two in chapel hill i say " you reap what ya sow" and they deserve whatever they get, but it's still hard to watch 2 young lives wasted for maybe a few bucks and a joyride in someone else's car. i live in siler city so i'm between most of u guys and the raleigh durham area so i get news channels from both areas and let me tell ya folks if you think it's gettin worse in the triad area, it's nothin compared to durham and raleigh. i don't even have a desire to go anywhere near these places. it's just too dangerous. but get ready cause it won't be long and it will be even worse. i feel so sorry for my daughter that i helped bring her into a world like this. god knows what it'll be like when she gets my age. the way things are going if she makes it to my age ( 36 ) she'll probably be considered old. any way just my thought for the day. prayers to all ms. carson's loved ones. hopefully they can have a little peace now. u guys be safe and have a great weekend.

o.k. folks..... vent time again...lol. i really need input from parents on this one, especially mothers. i want to know if you guys think i'm wrong here. i had a big argument with my ex last night concerning my daughter. my sister went to pick up my little girl yesterday to have christmas pics done. she gets there and my ex is talking on her cell to her "friend" as she puts it. she also has 2 dogs in the house , so with trying to hold them back and talking on the phone she sends my 5 yr. old daughter out the door with no shoes on , no coat on and in a dress that was covered in dog hair! my sister stopped on the way to sears and bought her a pair of dress shoes from the thrift shop so she would have some for the pics. well when i found out about this i was NOT happy. especially since last friday she brought my daughter to me and didn't even bring her a coat! now i understand that it was 75 degrees friday, but it was going to be in the 40's all weekend and all ia have at my house is warm weather stuff and one light jacket. the ex's excuse was it was 70 degrees and she didn't think about a coat. come on people is it that hard to watch van and see what the weather is gonna be like. hannah is 5 yrs old... she can't do everything for herself. so as i was raging about this to her i told her she needed to take the child support money and buy her some clothes which she promptly told me she already had. i told her fine... she needed to bring some of them to my house for hannah to have when she is with me. she proceeds to tell me that i should buy her clothes for my house. the kicker is i'm the one buying ALL her clothes anyway, do i not have the right to keep some of them at my house. this woman gets half my money every month plus she gets almost 4000.00 a month from her job and she acts like i do nothing. folks i make 9.00 an hour. i can hardly pay rent and power and have gas to get to work. i pay my child support. so my question is am i wrong for wanting a fraction of the stuff I bought to be at my house? i don't even know if i can buy her a christmas present this year because i have to pay rent this week and that'll be about all my paycheck. i know there are a lot of sorry fathers out there who could care less about child support, but i am not one of them and there are a lot of very sorry women out there too. my ex is a shining example of one. just wondering what the general parenting public thinks. am i wrong? all opinions are appreciated and respected.

The prognosis for Bills backup tightend Kevin Everett is not good at all. Doctors are calling it a "catastrophic , life threatening spinal injury".  You know, most of us complain about how much money sports figures make, but after this incident i for one think 99% of these players deserve every penny they get. They go out every Sunday to put on a good show for all the fans and in every hit take a chance on their future. I have never seen a hit that looked so "normal" do so much damage. True , it was a hard hit , but we've all seen much harder. And then i think about nascar and they do the same thing, but to me , they have better odds against getting hurt than football players. At least the drivers have every safety apparatus they can get and not to mention the roll cage around them and soft walls, etc. Football players have a few pieces of plastic with maybe a half inch of padding in them. I played in school and i remember some of the hits i took and they were bad enough in school. These are 280-300 pound missiles flying around on the field and then abruptly stopping.  Now i know a lot of people will say that our police and other emergency workers take that same chance every day too ,and you are absolutely right, and these guys and gals should make as much or more for what they do for us. BUT, the difference is football and other sports are there for only one reason. To ENTERTAIN all of us every week. That's an awfully big risk they take so we can sit in front of the t.v. with friends and drink beer and pull for our team. My thoughts and prayers are with Kevin Everett and his family and I hope he pulls through. And thanks to all athletes who risk their lives so that we may be entertained.            9-11-01      We will never forget.

once again bystanders get mowed down by a vehicle that has no business on public streets. this time it was in illinois. a napa auto parts store had a monster truck jumping cars in the parking lot . on the last jump it lost control and went into the crowd injuring 9 people. come on folks, if these vehicles were safe for street use they wouldn't have arenas and tracks set up for them to run on! how many people have to get hurt or killed before people get the picture? DUHHHH! at least this time noone lost their lives.

my wife and i are seperated. she has full custody of my 5 yr. old. i get her every other weekend. i never really thought about what it would be like to wake up and not see her sweet face every morning, but let me tell ya... it sucks!. i have had her with me for almost 3 weeks now so her mother can run around the country with her "friend" in a big rig. sunday evening she has to go back home and i will have to go through all the BLEEP i went through when we first seperated. i am trying to get joint shared custody of her so i can have her half of every month but her mother doesn't want to do that because she knows if that happens she won't get child support anymore, which by the way is 333.00 a month! i have no problem with supporting my child, but i know her mother will not spend the money on her. she is not a terrible mother, but she is acting like a teenager running around everywhere and expecting me to take my daughter so she can go do whatever. she was going to leave her with someone my daughter has only met 3 times for this whole 3 weeks if i couldn't take her! can you believe that?! luckily my sister doesn't have to work so she watches her while i'm at work. i don't make much money so i can't afford a lawyer right now. i called one the other day and she told me to do joint shared custody would cost me 3500.00! if my wife contested, which she will. not because she is concerned for my daughter, but because then she wouldn't get the child support money. if any of you know an attorney who does child custody cases where the parent has very little money please let me know. i don't know what i'm going to do sunday when i have to let her go home. probably go nuts...lol. any way just wanted to tell everyone ... cherish the time you have with your children, you never know when they'll be snatched from you. thanks for reading my "vent session" and any and all advice is welcome and appreciated!

many of you probably heard about the 6 young lives lost in tennessee this past saturday. it happened at a charity event called " cars for kids ".  at the end of the event they have a parade and exhibition burnouts by pro drag racers. one of the cars lost control and went into the crowd. i just cannot understand why the event coordinators would allow a 3-5000 horsepower vehicle do this type of thing on a public road with hundreds less than 20 feet away. as an avid drag racing fan and someone who has driven drag cars with no where near that much power i know how easy these cars can get away from you. this was a great charity event marred by a tragedy that should never have been allowed to happen. if you want exhibitions of this nature at your event PLEASE hold them at a dragstrip where at least they have some kind of protection and safety crews. these six young people ( ages 15-22) lost their lives for no reason! my thoughts and prayers go out to the victim's families and also to those families in charleston s.c. who lost their loved ones in the tragic fire. THEY WILL ALWAYS BE HEROES for their sacrifice.

i was reading the article on the judge in d.c. who is suing the korean family who owns a dry cleaning business. apparently they "lost his pants" for a day or so, and he decided to sue them because they have a sign that says "same day service " and satisfaction guaranteed. he is suing for 54 million dollars! he went through every legal book he could find to try and get more money from these people. he even put their son in the lawsuit , so he could get more money. since he is a judge he is representing himself, so it isn't costing him a dime, but these poor people are having to spend all their money on defense lawyers. They are considering moving back to Korea because they can't afford to live here anymore bucause of the legal bills. This guy is a disgrace to the legal system AND america as far as i'm concerned. even the judge who is set to hear the case is telling the bar associations to revoke his judge priveledges. these people are hear legally and have been trying for years to build a business and live the american dream or at least exist comfortably here. They are putting their money back in the economy and contributing to their community and this jerk trying to take everything they have worked for. this just made me so mad, i had to vent...lol. with all the illegal immigrants in america it just ticks me off that someone would do this to a family who went through all the legal stuff necessary to live here and raise a family. They have a website setup for a defense fund ,so if anyone has the means to donate to it and feel like i do about it you can go to the CUSTOM CLEANERS DEFENSE FUND and help out. any way i'll shut up for now...lol just wanted to see what everyone thought about this. any and all opinions and views are respected and appreciated! The story is on this sight's front page under fox 8 extras. And i'm sure anyone interested can google the name and get the whole story.

I was watching a series on the history channel a few weeks ago called illegal drugs and how they got that way.  I was amazed at how some of the drugs that are so prevalent today got started. Hitler was on methamphetamines in ww2 . Why would anyone want to put all those chemicals in their body!? I mean this stuff has things like draino and rat poison and ammonia!  Everyone is always saying how bad marijuana is , but geez, at least it is a natural plant and i don't know about you , but i have never seen anyone smoke pot and go on a killing spree. i think drugs are things that are chemically or synthetically altered by man. Cigarettes are a whole lot worse than pot ever was. But it is still illegal so i can't use it , but i think it should at least be medically legal for all the people that it actually helps with pain and eating due to chemo. and other terrible diseases.  anyway, just an opinion. what do you think?
