This video I made shows that apparently Detroit City Council's Barbara "Racist" Collins dosen't recognise who really has the power in this state; Her statement saying that Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm "wouldn't touch this issue with a 10 foot pole and if she did, the people of the city of Detroit would rebel". REALLY??? Who do they plan on rebelling against, pray tell Barbed Wire Collins? Is that the insinuation of a threat towards the Governor & the people? Meantime, Council "members" Mouthica Conyers & JoAnn Watson seem to think that this issue should play out it's course in the court system, costing the city & county taxpayers more money. Note also how Ms. Watson seems to think that the city council attorney Bill Goodman should not recommend that the Governor get involved. Note also that Council President Ken Cockrel encourages the Governor to get involved so the city can begin to get past this issue & move in a positive direction. So he wants to be Mayor-Anyone would do a better job than Kilpatrick, no doubt. In my opinion and I'm certain many others, the city would never survive another riot and I hope that if they do, they take notice that this is not 1967, the crimes were committed by their own people in their own culture, and today's technology in the Michigan National Guard would set down this "rebellion" before it even gets off the ground. It is simply pathetic that some people think if they can't take/touch what isn't theirs in the first place, they will destroy it so no one else can have/enjoy it. I encourage the Governor to take note of Collins' "threat" and take appropriate actions to show Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, his corrupt co-horts and his supporters who really runs the show in this state when necessary. Check the video & see what you think. Opinions?

You got that right, DW45; With a Governor that taxes first by raising our sales tax and istalling a business tax that takes 20% in many case Michigan's economy is slipping fast. Our automakers being based here alsom is having a direct effect on our economy. Then you throw in some Mayor Kilpatrick along with a corrupt city & county government and one has some real thick soup! LOL

Just goes to show ya that today's politicians and government officials are not satisfied with a piece of the pie, they want the whole pie.

Actually, the Feds seem to be unusually quiet as I've heard no news about their intervention; However, additional pressure is being put on our Governor to use a special option where she can take out of office any public official that is charged with misconduct. Mayor Kilpatrick is also trying to now claim the text messages weren't sent by him on his city-paid device and is also trying to block more text messages from being released. Kilpatrick has even started a private fund where he has his supporters actually donating money for his defense fund. This all started in 2002 I believe when the Mayor & his former Chief Of Staff Christine Beatty were testifying in a Whistleblower lawsuit, filed by then fired police officer Gary Brown. In their testimony, they claimed they never had sexual relations or even a relationship but the released text messages found by our Detroit Free Press newspaper showed that they did indeed have relations. The text messages also show that a secret agreement was made by the police officer's Lawyer Stefani; Stefani had copies of those text messages and the Mayor agreed to settle the Whistleblower lawsuit for $8.4 million dollars if Stefani handed over those messages.

As it turned out, the case was settled and 3 DPD officers lost their jobs because they were investigating a "rumored" party at the Mayor's posh Manoogian Mansion, where a stripper at that party, Tamara Greene alledgedly was before she was killed in a drive-by shooting days later. The Mayor & his legal team have tried to stop the investigation until this scandal issue is resolved, but the judge said no. Recently, some witnesses to that "alledged" party, including a former DPD officer have come forward. Also, that witness claims she was at ther party, witnessed Kilpatrick & Greene in a "compromising" situation-All of the sudden, Kilpatrick's wife Carlita came out of nowhere and savagely beat Greene with some type of club. The Mayor and Christine Beatty have been charged with 12 counts, including perjury, corruption, misconduct in office, witholding evidence by Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy. The next trial date is June 9th. A recall petition has been authorised by the Detroit City Council-A resident started this petition and needs over 56,000 signatures to put Kilpatrick's recall on the ballot. I invite you & others interested to check our my main blogs & the main blogsite I work out of-MyFox Detroit; There are numerous stories, blogs, and copies of those text messgaes as they are released. PHEW!!! LOL.

Why the Hell do they need a Citizen's private petition for a law-breaking issue concerning Municicipal Gov?...Or am I just naive?

If it's any consolation, be assured the IRS is waiting in the wings for their chance...

Also, any office-holder (like these stupid Congresspeople) should know better than to get their freak on when there's even a possibility of it catching the "Public EYE".....Every fool with a CEL phone is also a fool with a CAMERA.....

My, Oh, My.....I guess the South isn't the only place with it's share of "simple (insert race here) trash"...
