The Politics Of Patriotism???

I notice some use the politics of war rather than face the facts of the issue in Iraq; Oil is a major world commodity & POWER. If this POWER were to fall into the wrong hands, say any given Anti-American group or faction like the Muslims, the Shiites, Iraqi/Iranian militants, Terrorists with/without allegiance to any country the balance of power the United States and other free countries now enjoys would be extremely shifted. Not to mention the cowardly attacks on our World Trade Center, our Pentagon and the thousands of lives lost in those buildings & planes. I defy anyone that states their "opinion" based on politics to visit with the loved ones of those innocent victims lost in these tragedies on our homeland. See the pain & angish in their faces, losing their loved ones for no apparent reason other than to incite terrorism & mass confusion. Also note their American Patriotism for our fighting men & women in the armed forces, fighting for rights & fredoms many take for granted. Jeez, some Americans have really changed when it comes to backing our country, our military & our Flag since the World Wars. I ask a simple question to those who choose to hate on our military with some type of personal politcal agenda and/or view-Where is your American Pride? Display it proudly & be thankful to those that do a job most cannot even comprehend. Opinions?

My Flag's out every sunny day...and I promise you, it won't be taken down and defaced if I'm home to watch it

I always pondered the difference between self expression and assault...

Somebody can BURN the American Flag on an American street! - that's self expression!

If I break his jaw, THAT'S assault? - What the Hell?.....I was expressing myself, wasn't I?

I also display my flag with a great pride. My appreciation of our military has only grown.

If I witnessed it DW it was an expression of self.

The legacy of Bush is an insult to our Military right down to the GI Bill

Don't Tread On Me! I relish those words. If you want to "express yourself" by abusing my National Ensign, then, I have no problem making your face look like an amtrak pivot point.

Looks like this is where all the INTELLIGENT PEOPLE blog. Truth of the matter is that we live in the greatest country on earth and we enjoy the most freedoms each and everyone of which were bought and paid for with the lives of the brave and noble. Stop blaming Bush because here's a tip... whoever gets elected will be human and make mistakes too. No matter who is in office we need to stop- complaining, support our leaders, and pray til they make it!!!
