Eve Carson Murder Surveillance Photos

OK, so I just saw the newest surveillance photos for the first time and the guy in the store photo is NOT the guy in the ATM (in the car) photo in my opinion.

The guy in the ATM photo is wearing a greyish jacket, his skin tone looks lighter and he has a broad flat nose.

Now, look at the other picture from in the store...

The only thing that I think is similar is the ball of hair..on the side in the ATM photo, on the back in the store photo.  The basic shape of the face isn't even the same as I see it.  The store photo guy has a narrower face and this guy's nose is a little more pointy and narrow.

But what really strikes me as telling is the jacket of the in the store guy...it's black....like the dark unkown figure in the ATM photo.  I kind of doubt that the guy from the ATM picture would have completely changed from one full coat to another...and lose the hat?  Especially with the dark shadow in the back seat of the ATM picture.

Of course I don't have the behind the scenes details like the time stamps from both of these photos, but it's something to consider as we try to help the cops look for a killer...or two.

Well Chris you bring up some good points here. The person in the store photo could very well be the unknown figure in the backseat at the ATM machine. The ball of hair could be a type of style worn by certain groups of guys. Only the police know about that at this point in time. I do hope that her killer(s) gets caught and punished to the fullest extent of the law. Surely someone knows who these guys are and will have the decency to turn them in....or maybe the greed of the rewards. Either way, it would be great to get him/them off the street for good.

i agree weaver. they look nothing alike to me. i think the cops know this too they maybe just don't want to let the suspects know that they are sure there were 2. don't know why but i'm sure they have they're reasons. hopefully they will find the little punks soon. somebody knows exactly where they are and who they are so hopefully as cindy says the greed will be too much and they will turn them in.

hi Weaver!

i am a cop, not in chapel hill. i think that is the same suspect in both photos. the atm photo is in black & white and was taken at night. so skin tone you cannot compare. sorry to disagree with everyone. i am so thankful that the photos exist!

Hmmm...hard to tell. But the recent events involving video evidence in the animal cruelty case in High Point call this into question. I agree with ladyorchid--I'm glad we have the photos, and I'm glad law enforcement is carefully analyzing them (not that they don't routinely analyze evidence carefully). This is a hot-button case--high profile, random, violent--all the things we fear and loathe (thanks to Dr. Thompson for the line). We all must let reason prevail, even though our hearts are crying out for immediate, swift justice (the operative word is the last one).

I'm sorry mayberry man!! There is NO reason to this case!! These two thugs are REPEAT offenders that will NOT be rehabilitated and deserve to DIE the SAME way that Ms. Carson died!! They probably jumped her coming out of her apartment, held her at gunpoint in the back of HER car, made her give them her atm #, then shot her in cold blood and dumped her on the side of the road!! The ONLY justice is an eye for an eye!!
Of course with our screwed up legal system...the one in custody will turn in his cohort...name him as the shooter and then only get life!! Which mine, and YOUR taxpayer dollars will support for the rest of his miserable, worthless life!! This girl was an asset to this world and she was violently MURDERED!! There is no penalty harse enough for these 2!! May they ROT in HELL!

Okay, we now KNOW that it was 2 people involved as was originally thought. I will not provide guilt or innocence for either guy. My point is this: STUPIDITY!!! How many times has everyone seen on TELEVISION that ATM machines HAVE CAMERAS??? How many stores have surveillance cameras??? DUH??? Can you say someone wanted to be caught??? If not, you can't fix STUPID!

maybe Im wrong maybe not but I think like djfw...maybe there should be eye for an eye in this country, and seaangelrainqueen is also right they want to be caught so that they can be put up for the rest of their lives, and the people that are trying to live right and that work hard; sometimes two jobs, have to pay for their freeride for the few years(or the rest of their lives) they get for murder.

One point that you may have seen in the reporting of this story...the guy in the ATM photo is only 17. He CAN'T be sentenced to death. The minimum age for the death penalty in NC is 18.
