I thank God for the working force in America, but now I am retired and I have worked all my life and paid taxes honestly all these years.  I thought all americans would get the 600.00 relief check.  But the only people that get a check is the people that work and pay taxes. If the young people don't get out and vote the  Senior Citizens will carry the Vote in North Carolina.

The seniors and disabled are the ones that need the help, the ones that have paid their dues to society and now they are left out again.  Their incomes are fixed and have no other means of any more income.  Yet most of them are stuck with their grandkids during the school season to babysit while their children can get out and work.  Not giving them a dime, not even bringing snacks, or food for them to eat.  They are doing this out of love, using some of their little check to furnish milk, cereal, etc. for their grandkids.  Their Kids just expect that you are just sitting there with nothing to do. They have raised their Children and now they have to raise their Grandchildren.

Who do we vote for?  Which one is on our side and want to help the Seniors, that really need the help? Could someone tell me this?

I know the above from experience.  We have had our grandaughter since she was born. Two and half years.  Of course we love her very much, but when you mention a dollar then they get offended, yet they go out to the most expensive restaurants to eat, have memberships in health clubs, and tanning salons.  Always buying expensive clothes, etc. I could go on and on. Then they come around and want to borrow your lawn mower, a shovel, a ladder, and all your tools and then never bring them back, you have to go and get them.

Then they get $1500.00 check and have already got it spent before they get it.  We get nothing, the ones that really need it.

It's just plain greed.  The government knows this.  Why didn't all US citizens get this little relief to help us out?

The Seniors are left out again, but carry the majoriy of the vote. They manage to get out and vote while the younger generation just sit back and don't vote.

Can someone shed some light on this situation?

Senior Citezen's were supposed to get this stimulus too. Even if you don't normally file a tax return their was/is a special form to fill out to ensure everyone got theirs. You might need to contact the local IRS office and find out what that form is.

Hello, MsKitty....shabanozz is right - call and get that form (or download it)...it shouldn't be too late, and we can all use $600.00!

As for the rest, you're right.....it's awfully hard to say "no" sometimes, but they could have a LITTLE consideration, and not simply be total pigs about it.....

Besides that, You pretty much covered it, and you're not the only one!

That's OK, it'll be their turn long before they're ready for it...(small consolation)....

And they wonder why we talk about "the good ol' days (back when everybody raised their own kids, and knew who the Father was)!

Good Luck, I feel for you!

We filed jointly. I get a pension from where I used to work and they take out taxes on the pension check. They sent me a letter along with 600 dollar check stating because line bla
bla bla was larger than bla bla bla that I would only be receiving the 600.00. Not quite awake yet! That was on my income tax return. My spouse and I both are on Social Security.

Sorry, MsKitty - That sounds like our Gov, sure enough....That sounds kinda mixed-up, though -

I thought EVERYONE was eligible BY LAW....

Are you sure nobody dropped the ball on this?

Good Luck....

They sent me a letter stating the reason. There is always a catch 22 when you get something free.

Thanks DW, Just got back from MB yesterday. Had a good time with the grands. People are so disrespectful, filthy talking. Again, most of them were teenagers. One was talkin on the cell phone and spitting off balcony and wind was blowing it on me. I asked him, in my usual nice way, not to do that and explained why. He said sorry! Ten min. later they were throwing hot cigarette butts onto the grass where my grands were playing. I wanted to take matters into my own hands, but I reported them to the main office and I never saw them again.

Now I'm back and ready to do some meowing and scratching. Kitty is in the house up in here ready to start meowing.

Thanks DW for your thoughtfulness.

Oh, I forgot this. My son-in-laws brother is married and has a 17 year old son, that will be 18 in October. He only got 1200 dollars for him and his wife. They did not give him the 300 for his son: reason; that he will turn 18 before the end of the year and that disqualifies him.

Ms Kitty I agree 100% with you. I have a daughterinlaw, sits on her big butt allday (1/2 ass cleans house, she and my son recieved $1900.00 and of course they forget the $200, 300 500 bucks they borrowed from me. She just spends and spends-tell me how many of a certain thing do you need (such as sippycups, etc) Duh at the most 3, but I SWEAR she buys 1 or soemthing else not needed, every 2/3 days. As it is, i WOULD like to slap the BLEEP out of most these parents today...they let their kids disrespect them and otber adults, expect teachers and the tv or game cube babysit them..then they wonder why little Johnny shot the school up and their classmates.
Sorry for ranting..just fed up

I am a born again Christian. I attend a Pentecostal Church that the minister preaches the true Word of God. I attend at every chance when I am able. I am a Senior Citizen and have seen a lot of things in my life. Some good, some bad. I have found out that you cannot put your faith in man because he will fail you but put your faith in God and He will be with you until the end. If someone lies to me twice I feel that I cannot trust that person. That doesn't mean that I don't love them. I love everybody and I don't play Church. I don't compromise the word of God to please man. I compromise myself so I can please God so I will be a good sheep in His flock of many. Thanks to anyone that responds to my posts.
