I got on chat in late December and in that time I have met a few chatter off of it.

Cindykay was the 1st one and we became friends and went out together - Girl's night out... We would go to the pool hall, go out to eat at Carolia Diner about every Sunday to see Mike that works there.  We would meet at the Waffle House late at night when Van Denton was calling for snow and watch and talk until sunrise.  Me and Cindy still talk and we see eachother when we can but CindyKay is helping out with the Red Cross now and has been on TV, Radio and in the News Papers for the Red Cross. She is doing great.

I met Mamahuh and Papahuh that are great caring people and they love their baby girl.  CindyKay and I met up them for lunch one day.  Mamahuh is a little thing but full of life.  She will tell you the way she feels and loves to cutup.  Papahuh is a big guy but with a kind side.  I picked around with him.  He could not keep his eye off the baby.  You can tell he is a true family man that loves his wife and kid.  He will be the one cleaning his gun the first time his baby girl goes out on a date..  lol.....  Mama & Papahuh are having problems are now.  I did a blog on it and ask everyone to take time to read it, "Friends in time of need".

I met Tlamber.  Me and TL like the samethings.  I'm a tomboy in heart and love to fish, camp and try new things. We started chating on chat and in pvt and got to know eachother. The 1st time we met was at the Battleground ReEnactment back in March.  We had fun at that and we walked around for a hour or so, taking in some history.  TL and I also went to the Confederate ReEnactment on Memorial Day.  TL likes history.  TL also likes his Fly Fishing.  He would love to live next to a stream where he could fly fish all day long.   Me and TL became very close and started doing things together when we could But with  TL's  mom  and dad having health problems and with my hours at work, we had to make time.  We even met at Kmart and just walked around and talked.  Call me a redneck but I enjoyed it.  We have been to the Burlington Gun Show.  I went camping and TL joined me everyday to fish and spend time together.  We put up the tent, cooked over a open fire and we talked and learned more about eachother.  There was a squirrel there that I think TL trained to jump on me to have TL bacon and eggs fixed for him when he got to the camp site.  The fish wasn't biting but the bugs did.  We have taking out TL's canoe this past Monday morning.  It was so early there was fog on the water.  TL caught a bass about 12 inchs long, kissed it and released it.  I got a baby fish, kissed TL and released the fish.  lol...  I got sun burned on my face.  I went home, slept and went to work.  My employee's laugh at me because as 1 employee put it, I looked like a white eye coon because my face was blood red but around my eyes where I was wearing my sunglasses was white.  It did look funny but I enjoyed myself.  I always do with TL and it doesn't matter what we do.  TLamber is a sweet, caring guy and with a heart of gold.

I hope to meet more chatter.  I enjoy meeting people and having fun.  I think it's time for another Fox8 get together.  Maybe it will bring the chatters back together

On Aug. 2, Angbar wrote a blog asking what does the word friends mean to you??  Cindy Farmer hit it die on the head the way it should be.  Some people will go out of their way to help someone they know and in some case they don't know in times of need.  I know of 1 family that is a regular on Fox8 chat named Mamahuh that hit rock bottom the last few months.  Her husband had to have surgery on his right hand and is due for surgery on his left hand in December.  He has short term disability that ran out after 13 weeks and he was out of work for over 5 months.  Mamahuh is disable and is unable to work.  She gets a monthly check for disability of $700.00 and had to make the house payments, utilities and buy what little food she could with the money that was left.  Their car insurance went unpaid and DMV took their tags.  Her husband had to go to the doctor and they had no way to get him there.  Mamahuh and her husband asked their friends for help.  Mamahuh got on chat and asked the chatters to help.  Some told them they would help and never showed or even called back.  Mamahuh went to see if she could get food stamps and was told she had to much money coming into the house (her $700 check) and with her husband living there she could not get any food stamps.  Her husband was unable to do the yard work and she asked friend's to help with that and no one showed up.  The food ran out and Mamahuh lost 25 lbs and her husband lost 50 lbs to be able to feed their 2 year old little girl.  Their water pipe broke in their yard and they was without water for 2 days.  Thank God that FRFJason heard what was going on and went to help them.  Jason help fix their pipe so they would have water and Jason also mowed their yard.  The person next door to them let they use their car until they get back on their feet and able to pay for their insurance.  A church gave them food to be able to eat.  I have met Mamahuh, her husband and held their 2 year old in my arms.  This is the sweetest family you will ever meet and some of the Fox8 people know them because they have been to the get together that Fox8 had.  He is due to have surgery again and I do not think it is right to turn a deaf ear to someone you know needs help.  I will help Mamahuh in December and I hope others will do the some.

I have a question for everyone:

If Birthday's, Anniversary's, Halloween and Christmas fall on the same date each year, why doesn't Good Friday and Easter Sunday when it's the day Jesus Christ Died and Resurrected?

Here is my input on this:

You are on a flight, traveling 200 mph and about 10,000 feet in the air when you hear a announcement;  There is a problem with the plane and we have to make a emergency landing.

I would tell the flight attendant the following;

Hey, HEY - Bring me 1 Bud Lite and a bottle of wine - Leave the bar open for the hard stuff after I gusher these 2 down...  Throw me 3 or 4 bags of chip...  While you're there, get me a Holy Bible and just slide my refund check in it.....
