I need help.  I want to make an informed decision when I go vote so I hope some of you can help me.  Hillary boasts of her 35 years of experience.  Can anyone tell me what experience she is referring to.  I know that she has been a Senator from NY since Bill got out of office (8yrs?) but what other experience does she have?

Obama, talks constantly of "change" and everyone at his speaches is carrying signs that read, "a change we can live with."  What change(s) is he talking about and what measures had he proposed to make these changes?

Anyone can say "change" and I'll agree that this country is need of some serious changes but without specifying what changes they (Hillary and Obama) are talking about, I am not sure that the changes that would be good for this country are the same changes that they are referring to.

Simple, don't vote for either one.

I think that the change that each is referring to is the change in their respective salaries from thousands to millions per annum. As the ole boy above said, I ain't voting for either of them.

At this point, I probably will not vote for either one but I would still like to know the answers. If I know what the answers were, I might find that I like one, if not both.

So GL, you're of the opinion that the condition of a country with a defecit like ours, descending into a recession, fighting a useless, losing war in a country we had no business invading in the first place, shipping our jobs overseas, lacking medical care for a huge percentage of its populace and cutting taxes for the richest 2% of the country can get WORSE?

Hi JM07,

Bravo to you for wanting to do a little research about some of the candidates who are in the race!

FOX is using a group of college students to share their experiences on the campaign trail. I don't know if they will continue to contribute or not, but they have a number of blogs on our website.

www.myfoxwghp.com also has a "Politics" tab where you might find helpful information on all of the candidates.

I'm sure there are a lot of really good websites that can be of help. Each candidate has a website that pretty clearly outline their positions on a myriad of issues.

I particularly like one that VP Cheney (almost) recommended, as it is as non-partisan as a voter could hope for, and there is a lot of research that goes into each assessment:
www.factcheck.org.

Good luck with your research and thank you for keeping an open mind!

Thanks EB, I'll check it out.

Mayberryman, the job loss is the only thing in your comments that I agree with and Bill Clinton started that mess with NAFTA. My worry about Hillary is that the experience that she keeps referring to is what she got from Bill. Then, GW added CAFTA, so we are in trouble if another Bush runs for office but I don't think that GWs brother would even try.

Just-Me, you don't think we're headed into a recession? I think the fact that W is gonna give us all $1200 is proof that we are--this is his "economic stimulus" package (i.e. here's some money, go spend it--we need to right the ship). And as for NAFTA, this wasn't Bill's baby--George H.W. Bush tried to pass this thing 4 times while he was in office--once a year. But I think the best thing the Republicans can hope for is for Hillary to get the nomination. She has the uncanny ability to polarize people in her own party. If she gets the Democratic nomination, your next president will be a Republican. Now, the right wingers have a problem--who are THEY gonna nominate? Is it gonna be 4 more years of watching our young people die in Iraq (the McCain/Huckabee plan) or what?

I have been married for 30 years and have two sons of my own as well as a step son and two step daughters. We have several grandchildren and each one is a light in our lives. I am retired from a state agency (early retirement) and currently drive a truck for a local company. In my spare time, I enjoy doing some woodworking in the small shop that I have at my home and my children and grandchildren have all benefited from my hobby.
