Hey everyone been a while. I live on Morris Farm road off of the new Peidmont Parkway extension. The past couple of weeks we have had C-130's doing some kind of manuevers, around the airport area. Which is rather strange because there is no Air National Guard station at GSO airport.
Can anyone confirm this for me and does anyone have an idea what is going on?

I had the pleasure of going to Kepleys the other day. My oh my what have I been missing my whole life?
Kepleys is located on Main street in High Point and I would venture to say that they may have the best BBQ I've tasted in 10 years. The history of the place is really neat also so make a day trip out of it.

Well, unless they (Obama and Clinton) were talking over trade offs for pork spending while sitting beside each other in Congress today (oink oink), I see a reproduction of the 1968 Democratic Convention coming up. There will be bon fires, people chanting in unisom, kidnappings, racial epitaths....wait a second. Hasn't all that already occured with these two?

I heard a story on the radio today which I couldn't quite believe, so I googled it myself. I searched for the following words "wisconsin board of regents tuition". There are a numbers of URL links to go to, but the specific one that included the story in question is headlined "New Richmond News | UW Regents to consider charging richer ...".
As you can see from the story, the first two stories read as follows -
"The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents spent several hours Thursday talking about ways to get deserving students from poorer families into college.
One idea was to charge “market rates” to richer families and use some of their tuition to subsidize those with fewer means. "
This is a Federally funded and accredited college folks. How did the administration there get this stupid, and how do they expect the students under their tutaledge to amount to anything? Seriously. A Federally funded college becoming so blunt to keep any student with money away from it? Its ridiculous.
Now, go back to the page you searched on (back button) and look at the other topics found on that page.
The second and beyond that shows for me follows:

No need to read all of them unless you like. My point is, they tried forms of Socialism in 2006 concerning student tuition and they failed. Now they expect to steal from students attending there who's PARENTS have money to give to EVERYONE? It is very alarming. What is also alarming is that the student newspaper there seems silenced to the point of AGREEING with the board's verdict. Its Hillarious!

I was listening to a radio talk show host today that mentioned something I had not thought of in my 43 years. He was doing a comparison between corporate pension plans and the Social Security system. What was poignant was that he pointed out that if a corporation raided a pension fund and used the money for other budgets/funds, everyone responsible would be put in jail.
Social Security is also a pension fund, and for years Congressmen from both sides of the aisle have been stealing from it to grow larger governemt and pork projects. None of them are in jail, but shouldn't they be for stealing from us?
Lets get together a list of Senators to be jailed for this crime. It doesn't have to be limited to the sitting Congress.
And if for some reason this ends up being my last post here. it was good conversing with ya'll :-)

I recently read a blog entry on here and without calling the person out by name, I'd rather allow the person to feel free to come forward and defend their stance. Here is the blog entry in question -
"3. I would take away the tax exempt status of religion all churches; all religions would pay taxes on the billions of dollars they take in"
So basically, you are saying you want to place churches under state control? All religions under one state control as a matter of fact. This is one of the fundamental reasons the basic concept of "seperation of church and state" comes from.
So do you support the concept of "seperation of church and state"? If you so choose to answer this question, you will be given ample time to provide specific reasons for your response. This message will self-distruct at the next system purge.

Online mobs can shame lawbreakers, but do they go too far?
“They say it takes a village to raise a child?” the anonymous vigilante wrote. “In this case, it will take a village to shame a monster.”
It was Nov. 13, 2007. A few days earlier, there had been an article in a local St. Louis paper, telling the story of Megan Meier, a 13-year-old girl who had committed suicide more than a year earlier. The article quoted Megan’s parents, telling how a malicious message sent from a fake MySpace account created by one of their neighbors (the mother of a former friend of Megan’s) may have sent their daughter over the edge. The blogosphere was intrigued: Who would pull such a cruel prank?
One blogger, Sarah Wells, decided to find out. She used the details in the article and public tax records to find out the neighbor referred to in the article. “I’m tired of waiting for someone else to out you,” Wells wrote in that day’s entry.

More from MSN Tech & Gadgets
____________________________________________________
Wells posted the woman’s name, Lori Drew, and within hours, an anonymous commenter had posted Drew’s address. The village got busy. The “monster” had to be taught a lesson.
One by one, they found out where she worked, and called her boss and her clients. Soon, death threats came over the phone and in e-mail. Then a brick sailed through a window of the Drews’ house. Someone shot at their sun room with a paintball gun. A hoax blog created in Lori Drew’s name enraged crusading bloggers further — it seemed to be defending her alleged message to Megan. The Drew family was forced into seclusion. Their family business closed. Drew’s husband was fired from his job. Their daughter couldn’t return to school.
The Puritans had their scarlet letters to shame those accused of wrongdoing; today, we have the Internet. A federal grand jury in Los Angeles has begun to investigate whether Drew can be tried for committing Internet fraud against MySpace, but on the Web, the trial is already over. Lori Drew, guilty or not, may be branded forever — on Google — as the woman who murdered Megan.
Did they go too far? What happens when justice becomes the cause of the blogosphere? Does it become revenge?
“In the Middle Ages, a posse gathered to hunt suspects,” says Daniel Solove, author of “The Future of Reputation: Gossip, Rumor and Privacy on the Internet.” “Things break down with mob behavior. There’s no rule of law to demand that cyber mobs be reasonable, measured and fair.”

" February 20, 2008 Obamboozled: Did B Hussein O Steal Speeches From Racist Spike Lee Movies?
By Debbie Schlussel
It sure looks like it. Do you really want a Prez whose ideas for this country are stolen from racist, anti-Semitic Spike Lee's movies glorifying Nation of Islam leaders? (Thanks to reader David for the tip!)

Watch the whole video. It's well done to the end. Do you really want this apparent imitator of Denzel Washington imitating Malcolm X?
So let me get this straight, the man who wants to be leader of the free world claims he doesn't like the Nation of Islam. But he likes to imitate its leaders as portrayed in movies?!
G-d help us.
Can you really afford to have this phony as the next President of the United States?
NO, YOU CAN'T.
Ya been Bamboozled. Ya been hoodwinked.

"RUSH: Thirty-eight Duke lacrosse players are going to file suit with Duke University -- and the city of Durham is about to get hit with another Duke lacrosse case lawsuit this afternoon." Thirty-eight players and their parents plan to announce this afternoon the filing of a lawsuit against Duke and a number of other entities and individuals. Charles J. Cooper, an appellate lawyer and litigator in the capital area, will provide details of the suit at the National Press Club... The exonerated players have alleged that former Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong, the city of Durham, the DNA laboratory hired by Nifong and others associated with the case conspired to falsely charge the former Duke students with rape. The charges stemmed from a team party in March 2006," as you remember. It was unclear today what allegations the 38 players would bring against the city and Duke. Lawyers plan to wait until this afternoon to reveal the details of the case.
Go for it! I mean, get everything this school has got! I am not kidding. Get as much out of this university as you can possibly get, you guys. The utter travesty that happened to these players and their families... you know, Mike Nifong has filed for bankruptcy, but that's also to insulate him from being liable in circumstances like this. "

This is huge and if I were a Duke alum I would be getting really worried. The city has already freyed its common ties with the university. Whats going to happen after this? Implications are HUGE.

Not surprising it has come to this but it should have happened much earlier. Ra Ro Raggy.
"RUSH: "The government's top campaign finance regulator says John McCain can't drop out of the primary election's public financing system until he answers questions about a loan he obtained to kick-start his once faltering presidential campaign. Federal Election Commission Chairman David Mason, in a letter to McCain this week, said the all-but-certain Republican nominee needs to assure the commission that he did not use the promise of public money to help secure a $4 million line of credit he obtained in November. McCain's lawyer... said Wednesday... that McCain has withdrawn from the system and that the FEC can't stop him." The lawyer also said that the campaign "did not encumber the public funds in any way." Now, we all know that Senator McCain is a longtime advocate of stricter limits on money in politics -- which led to more money in politics. I mean, CFR gave us the 527 organizations! We also know that Senator McCain was one of the few leading presidential candidates to seek Federal Election Commission certification for public money during the primaries. "The FEC determined that he was entitled to at least $5.8 million. But McCain did not obtain the money, and he notified the FEC earlier this month that he would bypass the system, freeing him from its spending limits. But just as McCain was beginning to turn his attention to a likely Democratic opponent, Mason, a Republican appointee to the commission, essentially said, 'Not so fast.' By accepting the public money, McCain would be limited to spending about $54 million for the primaries, a ceiling his campaign is near. That would significantly hinder his ability to finance his campaign between now and the Republican National Convention in September." In his letter to McCain, "Mason said the commission would allow a candidate to withdraw from the public finance system as long as he had not received any public funds and had not pledged the certification of such funds 'as security for private financing.'" And that's what this thing is all about -- his little snag here regarding public money and whether or not McCain used the insurance that that's coming in order to get a $4 million line of credit. "
