Why I'm not a politician

My reasons for not being a politician.....

1. It would be very hard for me to look people in the eye and lie.

2. It would be hard to give people false hope just to get elected.

3. I don't like to travel much but when I do I pay my own way.

4. I don't feel good about agreeing with people I don't like or trust.

5. I wouldn't like throwing people under the bus just to keep my job.

6. I wouldn't like people asking for favors.I don't ask for them why should they ?

7. I wouldn't like starting on a job that was pre determined to fail by people above me.

8. I couldn't find myself agreeing with or supporting a fool to gain status.

The bad part of it is that this is the expected, assumed, acknowledged behavior, kinda like that huge white elephant in the corner of the room that everybody pretends isn't there...

We're playing by false rules, accepting false pretenses, statements that we all know are going to never be honored...yet this is the rule, not the exception...and we, they, you, amd I all know it...

Why do we even bother going through the motions, like a bad marriage?

We've gotta lot of work to do to change the legal/ Gov system...it may not be possible -

I hate to see this happen to OUR Country...pretty soon we're not gonna be #1 anymore, because of the taxes, Tariffs, economy, Gov'ment stupidity, wasted time, money, and resources.....lack of basic education and failure of "prepaid" Social Services don't help - Every other kid has ADHD.....great, let's put 'em all on pills, so they'll be too stoned too act out?

We don't trust the ones who aren't even elected yet, so where does that leave the citizens? - Our kids and Grandkids?...the Senior Citizens?...

Hmmmm...where to start?

DW45...That,is a good post.
Where to start ? Too late my friend,this big cumbersome machine is going to have to crash and burn...sink to the bottom before people realize what is important and what is not.

Thanx, JIMBOB...I hate to be so depressing (on such a nice day) -

"crash and burn" is what I'm thinking, also.....hope we don't have to revisit 1929 just to get a clean slate...
