The PreTest of Obama's Lack of Leadership is Best Understood by his Actions

This sent to me from a friend and for those of you that Cut n paste seems to bother, 'Buckle up' cause here it is

Obama Flipping and Floundering in Middle East
Thursday, July 24, 2008 2:20 PM

By: Kenneth R. Timmerman

Everything seemed planned for the future campaign commercials — at least, that’s how it seemed to a U.S. Air Force captain when Sen. Barack Obama and his entourage swooped into Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan for an hour-long visit last Saturday at the start of a week-long foreign tour.

He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle” without pausing to acknowledge the U.S. troops who had been waiting all day just for the opportunity to meet him, the officer told the Blackfive pro-military blog.

As the soldiers lined up to shake his hand, the Illinois senator “blew them off and didn’t say a word,” ducking into the conference room to meet the general.

Then the armored vehicles took him to where “he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to soldiers to thank them for their service,” the captain wrote.

“As you know, I am not a very political person. I just wanted to share with you what happened” during Obama’s visit, the captain related.

“I swear, we got more thanks from the NBA basketball players or the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders than from Senator Obama,” he added.

End of the Cut n Paste

It is time to be clear. "Change?" - This type change I do not want

I do not desire this for our service men and women, for our military, my family, my children, for my childrens children, nor for our nation.

True leaders will lead through respect and understanding. Apparently Obama shows and has neither.

Be clear on the change you vote for should you opt to vote for him. Why would he respect you, me or our nation, when he will not take the time to respect through recognition and appreciation the men and women of our military that he will be charged with leading should he win the POT?

I make this statement at the beginning only because in the past I read comments raising the question as to why a blog post was so long. If you do not like long...do yourself a favor and read no further.

I can only hope by raising and linking, to his campaign, the names of Presidents Reagan and Kennedy, Obama is familiar with some of their thinking. These Presidents were not great before they were President, but only by their actions were they known as such there after.

Some people wonder all their lives if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem.
Ronald Reagan

We have the duty to protect the life of an unborn child.
Ronald Reagan

A baby is an alimentary canal with a loud voice at one end and no responsibility at the other.
Ronald Reagan

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
John F. Kennedy

All the waste in a year from a nuclear power plant can be stored under a desk.
Ronald Reagan

A young man who does not have what it takes to perform military service is not likely to have what it takes to make a living. Today's military rejects include tomorrow's hard-core unemployed.
John F. Kennedy

Democracy is worth dying for, because it's the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man.
Ronald Reagan

Domestic policy can only defeat us; foreign policy can kill us.
John F. Kennedy

How can a president not be an actor?
Ronald Reagan

If anyone is crazy enough to want to kill a president of the United States, he can do it. All he must be prepared to do is give his life for the president's.
John F. Kennedy

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.
Ronald Reagan

Israel was not created in order to disappear - Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and the home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom.
John F. Kennedy

The greatest security for Israel is to create new Egypts.
Ronald Reagan

It is an unfortunate fact that we can secure peace only by preparing for war.
John F. Kennedy

Status quo, you know, is Latin for 'the mess we're in'.
Ronald Reagan

Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong.
Ronald Reagan

Mothers all want their sons to grow up to be president, but they don't want them to become politicians in the process.
John F. Kennedy

I have wondered at times what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the US Congress.
Ronald Reagan

The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.
John F. Kennedy

Recession is when a neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose yours.
Ronald Reagan

The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings.
John F. Kennedy

No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth!
Ronald Reagan

There is always inequality in life. Some men are killed in a war and some men are wounded and some men never leave the country. Life is unfair.
John F. Kennedy

Man is not free unless government is limited.
Ronald Reagan

When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat. Ronald Reagan

Things do not happen. Things are made to happen.
John F. Kennedy

It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.
Ronald Reagan

We would like to live as we once lived, but history will not permit it.
John F. Kennedy

Don't be afraid to see what you see.
Ronald Reagan

We're in greater danger today than we were the day after Pearl Harbor. Our military is absolutely incapable of defending this country.
Ronald Reagan

When we got into office, the thing that surprised me most was to find that things were just as bad as we'd been saying they were.
John F. Kennedy

To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last - but eat you he will.
Ronald Reagan

All great change in America begins at the dinner table.
Ronald Reagan

If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.
Ronald Reagan

It's difficult to believe that people are still starving in this country because food isn't available.
Ronald Reagan

Personally, I am scared to death the wrong PoTUS will be elected and though I will vote, I do it with very little confidence, but yet with a great hope and prayer. I do not believe I am alone in my thoughts.

Who ever is elected will certainly have their hands full as most newly elected presidents inherit policies and issues that are already in motion.

A US President truly writes his own legacy if he is so afforded a second term in office, because then and only then does he dance to the beat of his own drum.

Juggling needs to be a requirement. I am tired of smoke and mirrors. It is quite clear that Bush was unable to deal with anything, but Iraq. I am sure his daddy is proud. He ignored many other issues equally as important, such as N. Korea, Syria, Venezuela, and Iran to name a few things. Bush certainly did not ignore the rich, though did forget the middle class. Without the middle class there is no need for the rich.

I am not better off for the WBush Presidency.

I am tired of seeing the "Vote Yes for the Kids" signs. A Yes vote is not for the kids when it comes to voting for the bonds for our schools. Consider this, a No vote is more a vote for the kids and their future and the future of an accountable school system. Vote No for the school Bonds and take back our schools. Force the Board and Guilford County School System, including the construction, design and development, maintenance, facilities, and other branch departments to act in a responsible manner in spending your money now and in the future. For as long as you give they will take. There are much better ways to improve our schools than with the unbridled spending we see now as the norm. GCSS should use existing facilities that now sit empty and unused.

GCSS underinsured Eastern Guilford… Now who pays?

How many other buildings are under insured?

New schools are constantly redesigned and laid out. Use a workable design

Hire a superintendent from inside – Someone that knows the system and the people

Stop the absurd spending

Vote No for School Bonds - Vote No for the responsible future of our schools

I started to pose this question in a much more broad way, but decided to narrow the topic.

Is the Greensboro City Council acting in a responsible way by lifting Water Restrictions? To be even clearer is the Greensboro City Council adequately serving and protecting the citizens of Greensboro and their future?

Before answering this, consider the lakes are full. Is that enough to justify this decision?
