AT THIS TIME WE ARE MONITORING THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE STORMS TO DEVELOP AROUND OUR AREA SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THERE WILL BE A TROUGH, OR AN AREA OF LIFT JUST EAST OF THE APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS. ALSO THE TEMPS WILL BE HIGH, ALONG WITH THE HUMIDITY LEVELS. COMBINE ALL OF THIS TOGETHER, AND YOU HAVE THE INGRIDIENTS FOR SEVERE WEATHER. AT THIS TIME OUR THINKING THAT A LINE OF STORMS WILL DEVELEP SOMEWHERE AROUND 2PM, MAYBE SOONER AROUND WILKESBORO, NORTH INTO VA, THIS LINE WILL GRADUALLY MAKE ITS WAY TO THE EAST. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS PLACED OUR AREA IN THE "SLIGHT RISK" ZONE FOR SEVERE WEATHER. AT THIS TIME, THE MAIN THREAT APPEARS TO BE LARGE HAIL, AND DAMAGING WINDS. STAY TUNED TO FRF FOR FURTHER UPDATES!
