Happy weekend everyone!

we at FRF are monitoring the potential for more storms. At this time, Saturday looks to be BEAUTIFULL!! but for all your outdoor plans on sunday, get then done as early as you can, as there is a potential for storms, SOME SEVERE, to come through our area Sunday afternoon. At this time it looks as though a line of storms will develop in the mountains and foothill sometime late afternoon, and progress to the east through late afternoon and early eve. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up to stay in check with the radar, and forecast for sunday.

ALSO ON A SIDE NOTE. THERE IS A BETTER POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE STORMS ON TUESDAY!!! FRF WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE SITUATION STAY TUNED!!

SUNDAY AM UPDATE, AT THIS TIME THE STORMS PREDICTION CENTER, HAS PLACED NORTHERN NC IN THE "SLIGHT RISK" ZONE FOR SEVERE WEATHER. ONCE AGAIN, DONT LET THE WORD "SLIGHT" MAKE YOU THINK THAT THERE ISNT GOING TO BE SEVERE STORMS IN THE AREA. AT THIS TIME THERE ARE HIGH WINDS A LITTLE UP IN THE ATMOSPHERE, AND THSES STORMS COULD PUSH THESE WINDS TO THE SURFACE. IF THAT HAPPENS, THERE WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BE SOME WIND DAMMAGE IN AREAS. ISOLATED DOWNBURST ARE POSSSIBLE, ALONG WITH LARGE HAIL IN SOME OF THESE STORMS. WE AT FRF ARE ALSO COUNTINUING TO MONITER THE THREAT FOR TUESDAY, AS THAT EVENT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE MORE WIDESPREAD!! STAY TUNED TO FRF FOR FURTHER UPDATES

Hello, WGHP....

I saw again on the Evening news about a "waning" moon.....

What's the difference between a "waxing" moon and a "waning" moon? - Seriously....

I only see FOX 8 in the morning (5:00am) on an antennae TV, so I don't see much else (TW is unobliged to carry it (your version on Cable....)) - but I enjoy it, and get usually acccurate info....

Thanks for your time, Tell Cindy and Emily Hello!

TM, sorry i just checked back into this blog.. guess its a little late to update you on 5-31-08 LOL.. sorry about that! :)

DW- To sum up your questoin, a "waxing moon" is a phase where its inbetween a "new Moon" or dark moon, to a Full Moon. "wanning" is the opposite, This is the period between the Full moon and New Moon. I hope this answered your question.
