Here we go again!!! another outbreak of severe weather possible this weekend. this is the latest statement from The National Weather Service
http://www.erh.noaa.gov/er/rah/
THE SEVERE THREAT IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING AS THE UPPER STORM APPROACHES THE REGION FROM THE WEST...
COMBINING WITH THE RETREATING WARM FRONT AT THE SURFACE. THE SEVERE
THREAT SHOULD THEN WAX FRIDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY SATURDAY AS THE
SURFACE LOW DEEPENS... AND TRACKS NORTHEAST ALONG THE WARM FRONT.
THIS WILL BE FOLLOWED BY THE COLD FRONT... WHICH WILL ACCELERATE
EASTWARD ACROSS THE REGION EARLY SATURDAY.
EVERYONE SHOULD MONITOR THIS POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WEATHER LATE
FRIDAY INTO EARLY SATURDAY. THIS COULD BE ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT
SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK FOR CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA... INCLUDING
THE POTENTIAL FOR A FEW TORNADOES. LISTEN TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR
LOCAL MEDIA FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE. This is something that FRF will contunue to monitor. At this time, it doesnt look to be as severe as the event that it us this past week. But things always change in the world of weather, So, as always, stay tuned to FRF, and Fox8 for further updates!
