Hello All who may read,

We at FRF are looking ahead in the long range. We are still trying to sniff out our next potential for snow. We hovever sadly say, the models are not looking promising, For snow or ice that is. However there will be a few rain chances coming in, and we really need the moisture so thats a good thing! So here is your weather summary from FRF.

After a few possible flurries in here tomorow (thursday) 1-23-2008, it looks to be VERY VERY COLD for a few days Temps will start to moderate into the mid 50's by weekend. Monday night into tuesday looks to be our next chance for rain.

It seems our pattern will be shifting back and forth, with back and forth cold spells. However the models trend to be cutting storms west of the Appalachian Mountains, which usually bodes rain for us. Hopefully we can get one of these storms to cut up the eastern coast, while the cold air is in place!  Stay tuned to our blog. If we start seeing the potential for wintry weather we will let you know. Also Please feel free to leave comments and questions! we welcome them all!

********FRF UPDATE SATURDAY 1-26-2008 7PM*********
AT THIS TIME WE AT FRF ARE KEEPING AN EYE ON A SYSTEM THAT COULD GIVE US SOME WINTRY WEATHER LATE THURSDAY EARLY FRIDAY. AT THIS TIME THERE WILL BE A STRONG AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE THAT WILL BE RETREATING TO THE NORTH EAST. HOWEVER THIS WILL SET UP A TEMPORARY COLD AIR DAMMING EVENT. IF THE PRECIP GETS IN HERE EARLY ENOUGH WE COULD START OUT AS SOME FREEZING RAIN OR SLEET. DEWPOINTS APPEAR TO BE IN THE UPPER TEENS TO LOW 20’S WHICH IS COLD ENOUGH TO SUPPORT SOME FREEZING RAIN! REMEMBER A WTH A LOW DEW POINT, WHEN PRECIP COMES IN IT CAUSES EVAPORATIONAL COOLING, JUST LIKE WHEN YOU GET OUT OF THE POOL OR LAKE IN SUMMER, YOU FEEL COOL.. THIS IS THE SAME THING. THIS WILL HELP TO LOWER THE TEMPS AT THE ONSET OF PRECIP, IF IT GETS IN HERE EARLY ENOUGH. WE WILL HAVE TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE TIMING AND THE TRACK OF THE STORM. RIGHT NOW WE FEEL THERE IS A POSSIBILITY TO START AS FREEZING RAIN OR SLEET, AND GO OVER TO JUST PLAIN COLD RAIN. ON A SIDE NOTE, THIS LOOKS TO BE A GREAT RAIN MAKER FOR US! WE NEED IT WE WIL TAKE ALL WE CAN GET… STAY TUNED TO FRF FOR FURTHER UPDATES ON THIS DEVELOPING SITUATION!
