QUICK POST ABOUT NEXT POSSIBLE STORM!!!!
 at this time it appears that we have a chance for some more snow on friday into saturday
 models are throwing more moisture into our cold air
 at this time.. it appears to be light....but that could change
 stay tuned to FRF for further deatals

NWS Blacksburg has a 70% chance of snow for it's Piedmont area, and Accuweather says the storm could be significant.

****UPDATE NOW THAT POWER IS BACK ON***** SORRY FOR DELAYED POST, OUR FRF HEADQUARTERS IN WINSTON-SALEM WAS WITHOUT POWER FOR MOST OF THE EVE. WE ARE BACK UP AND RUNNING NOW.. TRACKING THE STORM!
Our thinking as of now rain and snow mix will begin in our area late friday night. this will eventually turn over to all snow early saturday accumulations could be 2+ inches in our area. now there are a few things to note about this storm
1. No ice, its either going to be rain or snow!!
2. The transition line is going to be within a few miles. It could be raining at your location, and snowing 5 miles west of you.
Determining where this line will set up is hard to do at this time! we will try to nail that down as time goes on
3. This storm is not running into cold air. The cold air is running into the storm. Timing is everything!
As of now the FRF do believe we will have a period of snow that will accumulate at least an inch in most areas! more in others!

ON a side note!!! it is going to be down right COLD!! on sunday!! so whatever that does fall will stick around for a few days! Remember the ol saying, if snow sticks around, its waiting for more snow?? well.. next week looks interesting! we will talk about that later on! keep your fingers crossed for a visit from ol man winter this weekend! and as always stay tuned to the FRF we will keep you updated to our latest thinking from our headquarters in Toast, NC and Winston-Salem, NC
