I will be honest with all of you, I have been struggling with who to vote for big time. I don't want to push my political beliefs or religious views on anyone either, but I believe there is still alot of folks out there , that are undecided and losing hope real fast in our choices for the best President to run this country.  All I am hearing lately is Obama this and Hillary that and I don't know about you, but I am sick and tired of all of it! I almost gave up the most valued and precious right I have...VOTING! Let me tell you, I have done some research, but apparently on the wrong people. I heard Ron Paul's name on fox 8 this morning and thought to myself, "Hmmmm...now I haven't heard much about this guy at all, and why I never researched his views, is a very bad oversight on my part. So, I did some research....WOW! He is the only candidate that I have found that is actually for the PEOPLE and his religious beliefs are AWESOME! Please, if you are like I was, take the time and read what this fella has to say. Even if you disagree, at least read his views and then decide for yourself. As for me....he has got my vote!

I would also like to add, as far as Republican or Democrat...that doesn't matter to me. It is who is for the American People...who has OUR interests at heart....Who would be the best President...

Is he still in the race? I haven't heard or seen anything about him since McCain was declared the Republican candidate. I know Paul has not "officially" conceeded. It would be nice if he ran even if it was under the independant flag.
I totally agree with you Buttwiggles... it's all about what is best for America and the American people. Not who is the most popular or has the most money or delagates.

What a coincidence, I just saw posted in the Burlington, NC Times-News that Ron Paul is coming to the area today. Sure wish they had given more advance notice.

"Republican congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul ... will speak at a Freedom Rally at Carmichael Auditoriaum at 310 South Road on the UNC campus from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

He will then appear at another Freedom Rally at Reynolds Theater in the Bryan Student Center on the Duke campus from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

The public is invited to both events."

The info is posted on the website at the following link, I hope it works :)

I think he is a great candidate too, but sad to say he has not gotten the publicity and will not get the votes he would need.

Ron Paul just had a book published today, and was featured on Talk Radio in Burlington, WZTK. The topic of the Book is "Revolution NOW". He discusses how the American People might be willing to revolt at the polls, and rewrite history.
This is a peaceful revolt, done under the law.
Our politicians have perverted our Constitution. We need to return to it, and through out those who have perverted out laws. Ron Paul is hoping that you will go against the grain and vote for him.

Buttwiggles..."out there" is an apt description of Paul. "Kook" or "loonie" would also seem fitting.

"Racist" and "anti-semite" would be equally appropriate.

Ok let’s see racist, anti-semite if you throw in support terrorist and wants to raise taxes oh and does not support our troops you would have all the typical conservative scare tactics. Play these cards when ever you want to discredit someone, I left out take our guns and now the new one on the horizon what did his pastor say!

My understanding of Ron Paul is that he is for the AMERICAN people? What is wrong with that?

Ok...here is our choices..Clinton, Obama or McCain...or Ron Paul...I choose Ron Paul. I am a hard working, tax paying American. I am not a racist and I am not against LEGAL immigration (note that LEGAL is in caps!) I believe in GOD. I am just sick and tired of the way I see America being run. Our beautiful country is going down the tubes real fast! Give America back to the people! I am a firm believer in "Don't fix it if it ain't broken", but America needs fixing BIG TIME don't you think???

The only reason I started this post was to let people know we do have a choice after all. Don't vote for someone just so the other candidate doesn't get your vote. Vote for someone you believe in!

Gosh, only a conservative would ever call someone a racist.

;)

He had a newsletter that could easily be called "antisemitic." Throwing around the words "racist" and "antisemitic" has been a tactic of the Left for decades. In this case, however, his newsletter does have some scary stuff in it that could fit those descriptions.

If those questions could be answered, I'd actually consider voting for him. He wants to essentially abolish the federal tax system and shrink government to pea size. More power to him.

yep, we're voting for the person we want to be in the white house (Ron Paul) - even if we have to write him in in november. we got burned last election by voting for the lesser of two evils. no more compromises!

Wonderful to hear 3feetup! My sentiments exactly!!! There were quite a few people that DID vote for him in NC and I was delighted to find that out! Thank you for writing today! You made my day! No More Compromises!

"racist, anti-semite... support terrorist and wants to raise taxes... does not support our troops you would have all the typical conservative scare tactics." AK

The same could be said for liberals like Clinton and Obama - they have been slinging some mud as well.
As for me... I look at all the facts and choose who I think is best for the job and our county no matter the party line, color or gender. I, like 3feetup, feel let down after voting for "the lesser of two evils". I don't want to do that again. Unless "We the People" stand up and do something we will be right back in the same boat after the next election and all this talk of "change" across the board will be for nothing.

I will respect the vote of anyone for anybody, as long as they vote.

However, all of you who abhor the thought of an Obama or Clinton administration, please keep this in mind.

A vote for Paul in November's general election is the same as a vote for the Democratic nominee.
