I am a Mike Huckabee supporter. Still, you ask? Well, yeah.
I actually planned on not voting in this election. I am 40 years old and since my 18th birthday there has yet to be a presidential election that I did not participate in, but I was going to sit this one out. I've been disappointed and disillusioned every time. Especially this go round, with all the things America has been through at the hands of politicians and looking at what we had to choose from, I thought I'd rather take a nap that day. And then I saw Mike Huckaee speak. He shined a ray of hope for me and I started caring about the process again. I felt he was the only one speaking any kind of sanity and I was actually excited and couldn't wait for our primaries so I could say 'This is the man I want running our country." But once again, disenchanted and disillusioned.
In this election America didn't need my help in narrowing the field of presidential hopefuls. In fact it didn't really need NC's help at all. Why did so many other states have a grab bag of candidates to choose from and we get three ... make that two really (you don't get a voice if you're republican ... sorry.) Why are all primaries not held on the same day so one state's outcome does not affect another's? Why can't we all have a say at the same time?
The political process is bass ackwards and for the birds. I think America has lost it's mind. Still, in the final show down, I do think I'll catch a nap, but only after I write in the only person I feel comfortable voting for.
